Classic example is the Greek myth about seven sisters, daughters of Atlas and Pleione. The story of the Lost Pleiad is also well known. The lecture will focus on analysis of the myths of the Pleiades in Polynesian mythological systems, their common motifs and their names in the various Polynesian languages.

The results of the presented research will be part of the dissertation thesis Analysis of cosmogonic myth of Oceania. Finding a common heritage.
